August 30 is the deadline to file an application to be a part of the Sixties Scoop class action settlement.
The settlement includes any registered First Nation person or Inuit who was adopted or made a permanent ward and was placed in the care of non-Indigenous people.
The settlement affects those who were place in care between 1951 and 1991.
Compensation for those affected ranges from $25,000 to $50,000.
