Yellowknife RCMP say the 14-year-old girl who was reported missing yesterday in the city has been found safe.

Police issued a news release this morning saying she’d been located.

They later stated to CKLB in an email that she was found Wednesday evening in Yellowknife.

As is their policy – RCMP have not said where the girl was located nor when.

There was tremendous concern yesterday after police reported the teenager hadn’t been seen since she left her home for school on Tuesday morning.

The RCMP is thanking the public for their assistance in finding her.
