Two suspects broke a side window to gain entry to the popular restaurant, stole cash register before running away, say police

Yellowknife’s downtown Subway restaurant was burglarized early Wednesday morning.

Just after 4:30 am, Yellowknife RCMP received a report of a commercial alarm at the Subway restaurant, across from the Northern News Services building and up the street from the Sobering Centre.

When police arrived, they found damage to the building and evidence of a break and enter, stated a release.

The Mounties believe two suspects gained entry to the building and stole a cash register before running away.

The investigation remains ongoing with support from G Division Forensic Identification Services.

No arrests have been made.
