UPDATE: Wanted man arrested in Behchoko
The suspect, DJ Chocolate, is believed to currently be in Behchoko, facing charges of assault and forced confinement.
The Behchoko RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a wanted man.
The man in question is 37-year-old Joey James Chocolate, who also goes by the name “DJ Chocolate.”
Chocolate is the subject of an arrest warrant, and is facing charges of forcible confinement, assault, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and failure to comply with a probation order.
Chocolate is an Indigenous man with black hair and brown eyes who stands at 5’6” tall and weighs 160lbs.
It is believed that he is currently in Behchoko, and anyone who may know his current location is asked to not approach him and instead contact the local RCMP at 867-392-1111.
UPDATE: Chocolate has been arrested. The RCMP shared their thanks to the public for their help in this matter.
