Northern authors will soon be in the spotlight for the 2025 Northern Book Fair being organized by NorthWords NWT.

The public is invited to attend this celebration of Northern writing and storytelling. The event will be taking place on November 8th at the Yellowknife Visitor’s Centre in Centre Mall. Every book on display will be one that was written by a Northern author, and the event as a whole is a celebration of Northern voices and creativity.

Attendees will have the chance to meet various authors and have their books signed. Authors will be sharing some of their insights and inspirations that went into their works.

This year’s fair will be welcoming two guests who will each be launching a brand new book. Jamesie Fournier will be launching and reading from her new book, “Umingmak and Fox: Why Is It Dark?” Meanwhile, Erika Nyyssonen will be doing a reading of her new book, “The Last Tree.”

A number of other authors will be attending the Book Fair with their respective works:

PCR Dude’s Club – Y Spy With My Owl Eyes

Matt Fournier – Abby Zoo Turns into a Mosquito

Allice Legat – Book of Hope

Cassandra Blondin-Burt – Love Letters to Divided Nations
