A man from Behchokǫ̀ has been charged with manslaughter, following the investigation of an assault that took place in July.
The attack itself took place on July 31st, and was reported to the Behchokǫ̀ RCMP on August 5th. The victim was rushed to the hospital, but later died of their injuries.
The investigation into this case was launced by the G Division Major Crimes Unit, and was assisted by the Forensic Identification Services and the NWT Coroner Service.
The suspect, 69-year-old Peter John Zoe of Behchokǫ̀, was arrested and charged with Manslaughter. He has since been released from custody under strict conditions.
