Homicide at Behchokǫ̀ residence last week, say RCMP
No charges yet, no word on any suspects, and the identity of the victim has not been officially released
A man has died in Behchokǫ̀ after a “serious assault” that took place in at a residence in the community, say RCMP.
On July 31st at 9:10pm Behchokǫ̀ RCMP received a report that a man had been assaulted and responding officers found an unconscious male victim, a release stated on Tuesday.
First aid was provided until paramedics transported the victim to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died.
The Major Crimes Unit, divisional Forensic Identification Services are is investigating in partnership with the NWT Coroner Service.
No charges have been laid and there is no word on suspects in this homicide.
Police released no other information.
