Fort Good Hope woman charged after 261 grams of crack-cocaine seized at airport

RCMP say the woman was searched after a tip about contraband alcohol

RCMP say a woman was arrested at the Fort Good Hope airport after attempting to bring illegal drugs back to her home community.

According to a Thursday police report, officers received a tip that the woman was arriving on a plane with contraband alcohol.

After locating the suspect at the airport, police conducted a search and seized approximately 261 grams of suspected crack-cocaine. RCMP say no alcohol was found.

Following the investigation, 33-year-old Marie Erutse has been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

She was released and is scheduled to appear in court in Fort Good Hope on June 2.
