A 14-year-old has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing in Fort Good Hope on Sunday, according to RCMP.
Police found a woman with severe injuries in a residence on March 23 at 11:20 a.m. She died shortly after being transported to the health center.
Following the investigation, officers arrested a young woman, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. She has been charged with murder and is scheduled to appear in court in Yellowknife on March 25.
The RCMP’s G Division Major Crimes Unit is leading the investigation alongside the chief coroner’s office, with support from Forensic Identification Services.
