Fort Good Hope RCMP are investigating a suspicious death in the Sahtu community.
On Monday, police received a request to conduct a well-being check on an individual, stated a release.
Officers attended a residence and found a deceased 29-year-old man.
The death has been determined to be suspicious in nature and the Northwest Territories RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation.
Residents of Fort Good Hope can expect to see an increased police presence in the community in the coming days as the investigation continues.
