RCMP acted on a tip from the public; one of three men arrested already barred from NWT

Three Edmonton men face trafficking charges, and 97 grams of cocaine and a machete were seized, after a traffic stop in Inuvik.

RCMP were acting on a tip from the public when a traffic stop was conducted on January 25th,  stated a release.

After the arrest of this male, officers located suspected cocaine and weapons including a defensive baton and machete, the cocaine and $3,320 in cash, stated the release.

All three occupants of the vehicle were arrested for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and held in custody pending future court dates.
