Yellowknife RCMP confirmed that the body of Lance Beaulieu, who was reported missing four days ago, was discovered near the Ingraham Trail on Monday evening.
According to a news release, a search party found the body several kilometers outside Yellowknife at around 6 p.m. on Monday. The body was later identified as Beaulieu’s.
“His family has been notified and our thoughts are with them at this time,” stated RCMP.
Police have not disclosed the cause of Beaulieu’s death but are investigating in collaboration with the Office of Chief Coroner. Anyone with information are encouraged to contact the RCMP.
Beaulieu was last seen on Friday, prompting his family to organize searches around the Dettah ice road and the ice fishing tents near Mosher Island.
