Residents in Délı̨nę are advised to boil their drinking water for at least one minute, according to a Thursday news release from the Chief Environmental Health Officer.

The advisory is issued due to high turbidity levels in the water, though no related illnesses have been reported.

It is recommended to boil all water used intended for drinking, food preparation, and especially infant formulas. Brita water filters are not a safe method under this circumstance.

The officer has not stated the cause of it not how long it will last.
