A Hay River home at the south end of Rowe’s Trailer Court was extensively damaged by a fire on Friday morning.
The Town of Hay River advised residents to stay clear of the area in a Facebook post.
“Fire crews appear to be making positive progress in containing the fire but have many hours ahead,” the town updates.
An initial RCMP investigation determined that a fight between individuals caused the fire. One person was transported from the residence with minor injuries.
