Man arrested for allegedly shooting in a parking lot on Canada Day

'Fortunately, no injuries were reported,' says Tuktoyaktuk RCMP


Tuktoyaktuk RCMP says 30-year-old Richard Voudrach was arrested for allegedly shooting at cars parked in a residential area on the morning of July 1.

The police were able to track him down with hints from community members. Fortunately, no one was reported injured.

Voudrach has been charged with reckless discharge of a firearm, careless use of a firearm, illegal weapons possession, and 2 counts of mischief over $5,000.

He is expected to appear in court at a later date.
