GNWT wants to know what senior services need improvement

The territorial government wants to hear from seniors on what services it needs to improve for them.

Seniors over 55, caregivers, Indigenous governments and non-governmental organizations that work with seniors can now fill out a survey that covers things like whether the senior has enough income to pay for expenses, whether they can move safely within their home, and what type of services they use.

Residents can fill out the survey online or they can request a paper version from a government service officer in their community.

The GNWT says the results of the survey will help shape its upcoming NWT Seniors’ Strategy.

The deadline to submit is Sept. 30.
