The office of the chief public health officer says Délı̨nę is the latest to have community spread of COVID-19’s omicron variant.
Public health officials sent an advisory yesterday evening saying there are now 30 confirmed cases in the community.
It added that community members should work from home if possible, and the school offer remote learning.
The NWT now has 910 active cases with more than half being in the Yellowknife area. The number of cases broken down by community is available here (under the Cases tab at the top of the page).
Despite the growing number of cases, public health has not reported any additional hospitalizations or deaths related to the virus.
