An “unexpected wastewater detection”, according to the GNWT, has identified the entire community of Fort Simpson as a possible link to COVID-19.
Any resident experiencing symptoms regardless of their vaccination status should isolate immediately and arrange for testing.
These measures also extend to anyone who has come into contact with residents from the community.
The public health notice suggests any resident or traveller who visited any region of the NWT since Sept. 13 and was in the community from the 27 to the 29 should arrange for testing.
This includes anyone who travelled outside the NWT.
