Triple A Talent agency has released Young Dene, commonly known as Eugene Boulanger from its online platform, following sexual misconduct allegations earlier this week.
“We have ceased sourcing active bookings while this matter is being investigated,” says the agency in a statement. “We will not continue working with Young Dene until this legal matter is resolved.”
CKLB reached out to the Marie York-Condon, NT RCMP spokesperson, to see if the incident is under investigation — she would not confirm and did not provide any relevant details.
Since Folk on the Rocks removed the artist from its 2021 line up, Boulanger’s legal representative, Chris Buchanan told CKLB in an email that the artist will be “exploring avenues for restorative justice.”
Buchanan added that Boulanger “takes any allegations extremely seriously and is committed to a transparent process of healing for all involved.”
CKLB reached out to Carly McFadden, executive director for the festival for further comment on the decision to remove him, she said she had no comment at this time.
CKLB will be following up on this developing story.
