Yk gun suspect arrested in Alberta

A Yellowknife man who was the subject of an arrest warrant is now in custody and will appear in court Friday.

According to a news release, RCMP arrested 31-year-old Beau Tesar in Westlock, Alberta and brought him back to the city.

Mounties do not say when Tesar was apprehended but CKLB News has learned that it was earlier this week.

He was wanted for multiple charges including theft over five thousand dollars and firearms related offences.

This is the latest arrest in connection with the theft of firearms, ammunition and jewellery from a Rivett Crescent home near Range Lake earlier this month.

Also charged are 23-year-old Toufic (Tom) Chamas, 27-year-old Todd Vatcher and 37-year-old Francois Parisella – all from Yellowknife

Police say seven firearms have been recovered with some guns still outstanding, along with ammunition, jewellery and other miscellaneous items.

Police say the home was targeted and no break-in occurred.
