A temporary solution has been found for visitor-information services in Yellowknife after the Visitors Centre closed.

From now on, tourists will find information at the Prince Of Wales Northern Heritage Centre.

The Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment will cover costs associated with the Association’s move and the interim storage of its assets. Minister of Industry, Tourism and Investment Wally Schumann said the attention will now be focused on finding a long-term solution.

He declared that “over $800,000 in varying grants and contributions has been committed in support of the Association since 2014” by the GNWT.
