An Inuvik man is to be back in court on March 18th after he pleaded guilty Monday to sexual assault and assault causing bodily harm
Eric Kiktorak, 31, was charged back in March of last year following an incident in Inuvik involving a woman.
Her identity is protected by a publication ban.
Kiktorak pleaded guilty in court in Yellowknife after his lawyer and the Crown prosecutor provided the court with an agreed statement of facts.
However, that statement was then ordered sealed by the judge until his sentencing hearing.
Kiktorak will have his sentencing hearing date set when he appears in court next month.
It appears RCMP did not issue a news release about the incident at the time.
CKLB has reached out to Mounties for more information on the crimes and it waiting for a response.
