Internet and phone lines down in Colville Lake

Northwestel technicians are still attempting to repair internet and phone service in the Sahtu community of Colville Lake.

According to the telecommunications company and CKLB Sahtu host Judi Kochon the community of about 150 people, lost communication services sometime over the weekend.

A brief statement on Northwestel’s website says the outage is due to a damaged satellite antenna in the community.

The community health centre is relying on a satellite phone for emergency communications.
