Four candidates vie for two Lutsel K’e council seats

Four candidates have filed their nomination papers ahead of the Lutsel K’e community’s byelection scheduled for November 8th.

They are: Mervin Abel, Rita Catholique, James Marlowe and Stephanie Poole.

The four candidates are vying for two seats on the Lutsel K’e Dene First Nation (LKDFN) band council.

The byelection was needed when two previous councillors left their positions.

Voting will be between 9am and 6pm at the Council Chambers in Lutsel K’e, as well as the Seniors Room of the Fort Smith Recreation Centre and Mildred Hall School in Yellowknife.
