Fiddle Cats Hold Last Performance At Aurora Fiddle Society Dance

The Fiddle Cats accompanied by guitarist Ben Russo.

The Aurora Fiddle Society will be hosting a spring fiddle dance and workshop in N’Dilo.

For the past ten years the organization has worked to promote fiddle culture in Yellowknife and the North Slave region says AFS Workshop Coordinator, Ryan McCord.

The dance this weekend will include fiddlers from Victoria and will celebrate the last performance of the Fiddle Cats says McCord.

Now [that] some of them are heading off to post-secondary school after this year, so this last weekend workshop and dance is to kind of to celebrate the end of their time with us for now.

The fiddle dance will take place at 7:30pm in the N’Dilo gym.

In addition, a fiddle workshop will be held on Saturday May 26th and 27th at the Kalemi Dene School in N’Dilo.

Tickets are $60 for adults and $40 for youth.
