Edmonton man charged after crack cocaine seizure in Fort Simpson

An Edmonton man is charged with possession of crack cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and other offences after RCMP in Fort Simpson responded to a complaint of suspicious activity back on March 16th.

Police stated in a news release that during the course of the investigation Mounties seized 60 grams of suspected crack cocaine, packaged in three 20 gram bags, along with 805 dollars in Canadian currency.

They estimate the street value of the drugs at approximately $18,000.

Machot Magok is also charged with possession of property obtained by crime, believed to be the money, and being unlawfully in a dwelling house.,

Fort Simpson RCMP are requesting anyone with information regarding illicit drug activity to please contact them or anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
