Documentary Chronicling Alleged Abuse At Charles Camsell Hospital

A documentary about the alleged abuse that occurred at Charles Camsell Hospital is in the works.

Documentary Filmmaker Raymond Yakeleya has received a research grant to produce the film.

Yekeleya will visit Yellowknife, Fort Providence and communities in South Mackenzie to speak with former patients and their family members about the alleged abuse experienced at the hospital.

Charles Camsell Hospital is one of the twenty nine hospital that has been listed in a 1.1 billion dollar class-action lawsuit, for allegedly abusing patients between 1945 and 1981.
