Developmental Psychologist To Host Parenting Workshop In Wha-Ti

Residents in Wha-Ti will be given the opportunity to attend a parenting workshop hosted by the Tlicho Government.

The workshop entitled “Ways of Being A Tlicho Parent” will be hosted by developmental psychologist, Denise Goldbeck.

The workshop hopes to help parents dig deeper and examine their goals and dreams for their children says Goldbeck.

What we want to do is something deeper. We are looking for more transformation in the way people see their families, see themselves, see their communities. We’re not really looking at how to get your child to behave or something like that. It’s more like what kind of dreams do you have for your child? How can you imagine your child’s future?

The workshop just started and will continue today and tomorrow at the Spiritual Pomie House in Wha-Ti from 6pm to 9pm.
