Behchoko RCMP Launch Sober Driving Campaign

Behchoko RCMP are taking measures to educate residents about the impact of driving under the influence.

A press release issued by the Mounties says starting this weekend, law enforcement will be implementing a Red Ribbon campaign to tackle the issue of impaired driving.

RCMP will be conducting check-stops and providing red ribbons for motorists to attach to the antenna of their vehicle to show their support of sober driving.

The campaign is also supported by the positive ticketing program in which officers will hand out a small reward to designated sober drivers that can be redeemed at the Northern Store.
