Sixteen-year old was last last seen while in Yellowknife on April 11th, say RCMP
Police in Yellowknife are seeking assistance from the public in locating a youth who has been reported missing.
Sixteen year old Melkin Lafferty of Behchokǫ̀ was last seen in Yellowknife on April 11th wearing a red jacket, black hat, white and red shoes and black pants.
He is described as Indigenous, approximately 170 cms (5’7”) tall and weighing approximately 70 kgs (154 lbs). He has black hair and brown eyes.
Melkin’s family and the police are concerned for his wellbeing and are asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact the Yellowknife RCMP at 867-669-1111 or your local detachment.
UPDATE: On Thursday morning, RCMP stated Melkin Lafferty has been located, the force thanking the media and public for their assistance.
