Fort McPherson RCMP investigate shooting
A single youth was injured in the incident, but is now in stable condition
The Fort McPherson RCMP are currently investigating a shooting that took place over the weekend, which has left one victim in the hospital.
The incident occurred early in the morning on Sunday, September 7th. Just before 4am, officers received a report of shots fired near Charles Koe Road.
Once officers arrived at the scene, they found a 14-year-old victim suffering from a gunshot wound. This victim was quickly taken to the local health centre before being transported to a secondary location for treatment. They have since been reported to be in stable condition.
The investigation into this matter is being conducted with help from the RCMP Forensic Identification Services, Major Crimes Unit, and the Territorial Crime Reduction Unit. No suspects have been arrested.
