Massive air, ground, water search for missing River Clement
The 16-year-old male was last seen on Cranberry Crescent, in Tulita, early Friday morning, says RCMP
Police in the Sahtu region are seeking the public’s assistance in locating River Clement, reported missing on Friday, August 15th.
The 16-year-old male was last seen on Cranberry Crescent, in Tulita, at approximately 5am that day, stated a release.
Community members are assisting Tulita RCMP in a massive land and water search, now entering its second full day.
Clement’s aunt, Lynda MacCauley, was appointed by the Tulita Band as the central coordinator, her phone number is 867-688-4816.
She wrote: ”I just wanna say Mahsi cho again from the bottom of our heart for all the love and support shown to our family for our River.”
The family stated the missing teen does not have his cell phone.
Clement is described as slim, with brown eyes and medium-length black hair.
Support from the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) in Trenton has been requested for aerial searches.
The Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary is assisting with searches in surrounding areas.
Tulita is a community of about 500 people, and is accessible by air year-round and by ice road in the winter.
Tulita RCMP is asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of River Clement to please contact the local detachment at 867-588-1111.
