RCMP arrest second suspect in May shooting in Yellowknife

Police have arrested a second suspect involved in a shooting that happened on May 1 in Yellowknife. The incident left an 18-year-old man in serious condition and needing medical treatment in Edmonton.

The individual is a 17-year-old youth from Edmonton. The youth was arrested on June 2 in High Level, and charged with attempted murder, discharging a firearm with intent and aggravated assault.

Police arrested and charged Hilah Rose McCauley, 19, days after the shooting. McCauley is originally from Norman Wells. She was charged with attempted murder is going through the courts.

The shooting happened about 11:15 p.m. at an apartment building in the 5100 block on 53rd St.
