There is an ongoing COVID-19 outbreak at Stanton Territorial Hospital.

The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) says all contacts are known and have been informed.

Public health announces an outbreak when two or more cases are linked to the same facility.

NTHSSA says there are currently fewer than 20 people in the Stanton cluster.

For now, NTHSSA says hospital services are not affected by the outbreak.

Visitation restrictions will not change either.

Despite the end of the public health emergency, staff at the hospital are still required to have masks and COVID-positive staff are not allowed to go to work.

Public health still recommends people that have COVID symptoms go get tested and isolate if positive.
