Yellowknife RCMP says it is currently investigating an bomb threat at École St. Patrick’s High School.

School staff contacted police about 8:30 a.m. Thursday morning to report the threat.

“RCMP officers responded and are in the process of securing and searching the school,” reads a news release.

Staff have evacuated students from both St. Pat’s and Weledeh Catholic School.

Police gave an update Thursday evening, saying no explosives were found after searching the schools.

This is the second bomb threat in the past two weeks at an NWT school. The other was at Łı̨́ı̨́dĺ̨ı̨́ı̨́ Kų́ę́ High School in Fort Simpson, which was ultimately dismissed.
