Police in Hay River are investigating a case of attempted arson at a home on Elm Street.

In a news release, RCMP says officers responded to a call an empty home after the owner found minor fire damage to siding.

“Upon investigation of the scene, it is believed suspect(s) threw two incendiary devices (Molotov cocktails), at the residence sometime on February 3, 2022,” reads the release.

There was charred siding and a broken window at the home, but no injuries.
