The Mary Adele Bishop health centre in Behchokǫ̀ has closed to all non-emergencies due to staff shortages.

The Tłı̨chǫ Community Services Agency announced the closure on its Facebook page on Jan. 19, saying it was closed for the day.

CKLB called the health centre this morning and learned the health centre is expected to be closed for the rest of the week.

However, there will still be a nurse available to respond to emergencies.

The latest community numbers of COVID-19 published Monday show 108 active cases in Behchokǫ̀.
