Danny Beaulieu re-elected mayor of Fort Providence

The Hamlet of Fort Providence has re-elected Danny Beaulieu as mayor.

Beaulieu got 116 votes and his competitor, Shirly Gargan earned 97.

The election was held at Nahechok’e Community Centre on Dec. 13.

The new council will be comprised of Louie Constant, Xavier Canadien, Loretta Landry and Linda Croft.

Beaulieu and council will serve the community for three years.
