The Sahtu Youth Network is hosting a vaccine campaign, COVID Vaccination Media Training Campaign, in hopes of increasing vaccination rates among youth ages 18-35. The campaign will help raise awareness and information about the vaccine.

The 18-35 age group has the lowest rates of vaccination in the NWT.

The Sahtu Youth Network campaign will create opportunities for the youth to get involved, informed and connected through information provided by trusted health professionals, as well as media training and prizes.

The campaign’s first step aims to gather information about how the pandemic has impacted the Sahtu youth and their thoughts about the vaccine. An online poll is set up, it’s anonymous and each person will be entered into a draw for a $200 Visa Card. The poll can be found here.

The draw deadline is this Friday, Oct. 29 at noon. The draw will be held on Facebook live later the same day at 3pm.
