Fred Sangris elected chief of Ndilǫ

Fred Sangris is the new chief of Ndilǫ and will be taking over for Ernest Betsina.

Sangris took home 141 votes; with  Betsina and Shirley Tsetta, right behind him.

Betsina came in with 92 votes, Tsetta with 62 and Cece Beaulieu with 61.

Ted Tsetta was acclaimed as a new councillor for Ndilǫ.

After Aug. 23 there is a five-day appeal period.

YKDFN council is made up of two chiefs (Dettah and Ndilǫ) and ten councillors (five from each community).
