Kele Antoine elected chief of Łı́ı́dlı̨ı̨ Kų́ę́

From one Antoine to another: Kele Charles Antoine will be taking over from Gerald Antoine as chief of Łı́ı́dlı̨ı̨ Kų́ę́ First Nation.

Kele took home 82 votes; the closest runner-ups were Herb Norwegian and Hilda Tsetso, each with 45.

LKFN leadership is made up of one chief and eight councillors.

The new council will include:

  • James Antoine
  • Brandon Bugghins
  • Bianca Cazon
  • Jarret Hardisty
  • Stephen Jose
  • Brian Martineau
  • Ashton Peterson

Updated Aug. 24, 9:45 a.m.: LKFN updated its results and changed the name of councillor-elect Bianca Gargan to Bianca Cazon. CKLB has also made the update.
