RCMP: Halloween homicide suspect missing

RCMP say the suspect for an alleged murder that occurred Halloween morning is now missing.

After a week of minimal updates to the public, NT RCMP announced a warrant for the arrest of Ahmed Mohamed.

Mohamed is a 21-year-old black male with black curly hair, stands five-foot-seven inches tall, and weighs 110 pounds with brown eyes.

Police believe he is still in the Yellowknife area.

Mohamed is alleged to have killed one individual and assaulted another.

Mohamed also goes by the name “Scotty.”

According to the press release “there may be some element of risk to the public,” but add “this is not a random incident.”

Police advise that residents that may encounter Mohamed “do not approach,” and call in with his location.

Police are asking the public to call 911, 867-669-1111 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477 with any information.
