Yk man charged with aggravated assault

Yellowknife RCMP have charged a man with aggravated assault after a male was reportedly stabbed at a Yellowknife apartment.  Mounties stated in a news release that Jerry Rogers, 34, of Yellowknife, was held for a court appearance Monday. He was arrested last Wednesday night after a man was attacked at a Gitzel Street apartment. According to police, the victim was assaulted with a weapon resulting in serious injuries. City of Yellowknife Fire Division and Emergency Medical Services attended the scene and the victim was transported to Stanton Territorial Hospital for medical attention. His condition has not been released. Police say Rogers was located by officers inside the apartment building and arrested.
