Tootoo Signs With Chicago

Northern NHL star Jordin Tootoo is on the move.

The 33-year old forward from Rankin Inlet was picked up by the Chicago Blackhawks yesterday, on a one year contract. According to other media reports his new deal is worth $750,000 US.

This is Tootoo’s fourth NHL team. He started his professional career in Nashville with the Predators in 2003, where  he played for eight seasons before being traded to the New Jersey Devils, and most recently a stint with the Detroit Red Wings.

Over his 12-year NHL career, Tootoo has scored 63 goals and 95 assists over 673 games, and laced up for 30 playoff games.
