Three men charged after drug raid

Three men from outside the NWT face charges after crack cocaine, firearms and cash were seized in an early morning raid in Yellowknife. According to a news release from the RCMP, police executed a search warrant inside two apartment units within the same downtown complex during the early morning hours last Saturday. Ten ounces of crack cocaine were seized along with three firearms and about 16 thousand dollars in cash. 

 25-year-old Alberta resident Noel Adali Dopiti, has been charged with one count of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of property obtained by crime. 22-year-old Faisal Aden from Saskatchewan, has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking possession of property obtained by crime and several breaches of a court order. Andrew Roberts, a 33 year old from British Columbia, has been charged with one count of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, three counts of careless use of a firearm, one count of possession of a dangerous weapon and one count of possession of a firearm without a license.

A 24 year old female from Hay River was also apprehended and later released without charges.
