Suspect released in Billy Cholo’s case

The investigation into the 2013 death of Billy Cholo continues.

Fort Simpson RCMP confirmed with CKLB an individual was released on Tuesday, but no charges have been laid at this time.

Last Friday RCMP announced the NWT Major Crimes Unit had made an arrest in connection with the 45 year old’s murder.

Cholo was found deceased in a gazebo in Fort Simpson back in early January 2014.

Police are urging members of the Dehcho community with any information to contact the Fort Simpson Detachment at 867-695-1111 or through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222 – 8477.
