RCMP And Government Agencies Start Snowmobile Patrols

Yellowknife RCMP are working alongside government agencies to patrol the community.

According to a press release, the RCMP and government agencies will be on snowmobiles monitoring the winter activities that take place on land.

The patrols started on January 20th and will continue over the next coming weeks at varied times.

At the moment the patrols have covered Yellowknife Bay, Back Bay, Walsh Lake, Prosperous Lake, Banting Lake and Yellowknife River.

The public is asked to keep an eye out for the patrols which will be providing warnings and making sure everyone is safe.

Agencies will also be enforcing the Federal and Territorial Acts.
