Open House Discussion About Kam Lake Leak

An open house discussion will be held this week regarding the recent sewage leak in Kam Lake in Yellowknife.

On January 15th,  a city employee reported the rupture of a sewage main near Kam Lake Road.

According to the city, crews began immediately to both expose the break and divert sewage away from adjacent properties.

The break was repaired later that same day, according to city officials.

Between a million and two million litres of waste reportedly spilled because of the break.

The open house will take place February 13th at 7pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall.

More information can be found on the city of Yellowknife website.
