People Attending a Conference

The N.W.T. Government will be dishing out a considerable amount to attend the annual B.C. mining conference. More than $236,000 will be spent on covering the expenses of several government employees, all cabinet ministers- for the exception of the Health Minister, Representatives for the Indigenous government and MLAs.

The amount allocated for this conference is an increase from the previous year’s conference which totaled $193,000.

The N.W.T government views the conference as an opportunity to invest back into the territories and know how to properly promote the mining industry. The conference will be taking place later this month
