North-Wright Cancels Flights

The weather has not only been an issue for the vehicles on the road, but also for the vehicles in the sky. Extreme weather conditions resulted in the cancellations of several North Wright Airlines flights from Yellowknife and Inuvik  last Wednesday.

The cancellations didn’t just impact the passengers, but also the Sahtu community which were unable to receive their food delivery.

Operations Manager Kyle Newhook, says the delays are precautionary measures that the airline takes to ensure the safety of their passengers.

To compensate for cancellations, the airline extended its flight schedule to help passengers get to their destination.
